The Kiwanis Recreation Area is a place for families and individuals to come relax and enjoy our southern Minnesota habitat where the Minnesota River runs tranquilly along the shores of Mankato, Minnesota. 

The park boasts trails, two dog park areas, a canoe and kayak area/river access, archery range, picnic shelter, and restrooms.

• 100 acres of park space  
• Hard surface and woodchip trails to all major areas of the park
• Two off-leash dog park areas for dogs big and small to run and romp
• Five Miles of mountain bike trails
• Skills park and Kid’s bike trails
• Fishing/ Canoe/kayak access to Minnesota River
• Archery range
• Hiking
• Cross-country skiing
• Winter viewing of bald eagles
• Wildlife habitat protection through preservation and conservation
• Restrooms
• Picnic shelter (open year-round) 
• 24-hour park and ride lot with security cameras - available on the north side of the Kiwanis Recreation Area

2301 Highway 169 N (north of the intersection of Highway 169 and Highway 14)

Park Hours:

6:30 am to 10:30 pm daily
