Aktion Club Theatre

Aktion Club Theatre of Pathstone Living is an onsite Kiwanis Club at Ecumen Pathstone Living. The group meets monthly to hear from local non-profit leaders and other community members. Aktion Club of Pathstone Living members have volunteered for the Backpack Food Program and Kids Against Hunger. The group makes cards for kids as well as raising money to support children in the Mankato/North Mankato area.

Aktion Club Theatre of Mankato is a service leadership program of the Mankato Kiwanis Club and is dedicated to the mission of inclusive theatrical opportunities for people with disabilities with a diversity of talents. This group started in 2006 and has produced many plays and performances. The plays are created by the group and center issues of disability such as bullying and community inclusion.  Aktion Club Theatre of Mankato also provides opportunities for people to share their gifts and talents through singing, dancing and poetry. Aktion Club Theatre raises money through their volunteering efforts with the Kiwanis Holiday Lights as well as through the shows they produce. One of the key values of the group is to make sure all members are included and participate in the productions. They also want to make a difference in the world by the work that they do in the community. Aktion Club Theatre of Mankato rehearses twice a month at Centenary United Methodist Church.  The group is supported by the non-profit Open Arts MInnesota, which champions inclusive theatrical opportunities for people with disabilities.
